Professional Accounting Technician Higher Apprenticeship Level 4

Accounting Level 4 Apprenticeship at Bedford College

As a qualified apprentice you will have proved your skills in the workplace and gained a recognised apprenticeship qualification. Accounting technicians are skilled staff employed in jobs ranging from clerks to accounts department managers. They are increasingly required in industry and commerce, so if you have AAT qualifications at any level your prospects will be extremely good.

Entry requirements

Grade requirements: You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-3, including English and maths plus a Level 3 Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification.

Other requirements: You must be employed full-time in a job role relating to your course.


Course content

During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:

  • Financial statements of limited companies
  • Management Accounting Budgeting
  • Management Accounting decision and control
  • Personal tax
  • Business tax
  • Professional synoptic assessment

Assessment methods

You will be assessed via exams, a portfolio and professional discussion.

Qualifications

You will gain the following qualifications:

Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship
AAT qualification (if all exams are taken)
